Yoga For You
Private Yoga Classes
DID YOU KNOW that yoga was traditionally taught one-on-one? This was to give individual guidance to each student, which in turn deepened their connection to themselves and to their practice.
What is it?
Simple. This yoga class is a complete asana practice, relaxation and meditation but only you and me. In this class setting, I am able to build a class that is specifically for you, your experience and your needs.
Why 1:1?
Following in the tradition of how yoga was originally taught, taking class one-on-one allows you the opportunity for a more individualized experience that directly supports all of the reasons you want to practice yoga. When it’s just you and I, we can talk about what’s going on in the mind and body, adjust the asana in the moment, and work toward healing specific samskaras that are unique to you.
About My Teaching Style
When you come to any of my yoga classes, you never have to worry if you are going to be able to do what I’ve planned or feel left out because you’re managing a limitation. My job is to meet you where you are and provide to the best of my ability a class that supports where you are mentally, emotionally, and physically. I’m never going to ask you to fit yourself into a class that isn’t meant for you.

Student Review
90 Minute 1:1 Class
I enjoy the 1:1 session! The pace, trying new movement. Sometimes my body doesn’t want to partake but Kelsey works with that and we try something else. She has a calm voice and is easy to follow.

Deep Relaxation For You
Private Deep Relaxation
What is Deep Relaxation?
Deep relaxation is the physical softening of the body that is accompanied by a sense of distancing and detachment from the problems and worries of everyday life. To achieve this physical softening, we will use techniques such as pranayama (breathwork), imagery, and visualization paired with a calm environment to gently engage the mind and allow the physical body to feel safe.
Why One-On-One?
In One-On-One Deep Relaxation, you will learn how to actually relax without distracting yourself. A distraction could be scrolling, watching TV, playing a sport or video game. “These forms of relaxation may have some beneficial effects, but they may not be able to produce the rejuvenating effects of a real deep relaxation.” (Devi, Nischala Joy. The Healing Path of Yoga.2000) Just like with One-On-One yoga classes, you will receive tailored classes based on your experience and needs.
What to Expect
– A calm atmosphere with low, warm lighting; potentially some light music such as nature sounds, white noise or specific frequencies for relaxation
– Class is done either lying on a yoga mat or sitting supported by a wall or chair
– Wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing with the option of layers to stay a comfortable temperature at all times
– Time at the start and end of class to “come back” so you’re never rushed
